Description

Co-Amoxiclav Dispersible Tablets BP– This medicine comes in the branding of AMOBIK-KID DT and belongs to a class of antibiotics called penicillin antibiotics. This medicine consists of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxicillin is used for destroying the outer protein layer by killing bacteria. Clavulanic acid is an enzyme beta-lactamase that helps prevent bacteria from destroying the efficacy of amoxicillin. Clavulanic mainly helps to kill bacteria by amoxicillin.

Co-Amoxiclav Dispersible Tablets BP does not work against infection due to viruses including flu and colds. The tablets stop bacteria from breaking down amoxicillin, allowing the antibiotic to work better. It is prescribed for sinus infections, urine infections, skin infections, joint infections, and some dental infections. It is also given before some surgical operations, to prevent an infection from developing.

Uses of Co-Amoxiclav Dispersible Tablets BP

This medicine helps in preventing various bacterial infections(in adults and children). This medicine is also available in oral liquid medicine and injection because it may be easy to consume for all age groups. Sometimes amoxicillin makes less effective bacteria that are able to produce a chemical. The second ingredient of this medicine helps to stop this from happening. Clavulanic acid stops the chemical produced by the bacteria from working, and this allows amoxicillin to kill the bacteria. This tablet is more effective in many bacterial infections.
